Elise's Comment:
Finally, a new season. I guess I was anticipating it too much this summer to actually enjoy the first episode. However, I watched it again later and it was great. Like some of you, I was disapointed when I saw Jess and that girl kissing. He came back from New York to be with her, how could he do such a thing? Well, let's be honnest, Rory was gone all summer and she's still with Dean. So who can blame Jess? However, I felt sad for Rory, she's torn between these two amazing but very different guys. Who can forget that scene in Washington when she put aside all the letters Dean wrote her, to work on her "Dear Jess," letter?

On a sweeter note, this episode proves that there's hope for Lorelai and Luke, they'll get along very soon. And that openning scene: hilarious! Something else that kept me laughing: the lazy-hazy-crazy song. You can always notice some little changes every new season: the girls have new wardrobes, Rory looks older, Lorelai's hair is lighter... Yes, I am one of those people who notice these things.

Paris: Oh man, I can’t believe this! I finally get asked out on a date and I missed it? Was it a good ask-out?
Rory: It was a very good ask-out.

Rory: Eventually, maybe, but for now solidarity sister.
Lorelai: Ya ya!
Rory: You’ve been waiting for six weeks to do that, haven’t you?
Lorelai: Ya ya!

Jackson: Nice. . .nice? This is nice. . .this is nice? [points to a life-sized stuffed grizzly bear]
Sookie: Well, it’s masculine!
Jackson: No, it’s terrifying! I swear I’m gonna come out in the middle of the night for a drink of water, turn around, hit the floor and play dead!
[concerning the new living room decor]

Lorelai: Oh, hey, I figured how to get the Lazy Hazy Crazy Days of Summer out of our heads – to sing the Small World song over and over for the next forty-eight hours. Of course, how we get the Small World song out of our heads, I have not worked out yet.
