'S Wonderful, 'S Marvelous episode #7.04 | written by Elise |
Elise's Comment:
This episode was about chemistry. Chemistry between two people wether it's romantic or not.
Luke and April: Weren't those two adorable together? The scenes between them were very well written. You could see that the relationship has deepened. They both care about each other. I am glad that April was brought into the picture. We can see Luke's paternal side, something that's very new (it came out a bit when Jess first came to Stars Hollow). When GG started, Luke was seen as this grumpy and solitary man. It's nice that we got to see him grow and notice this depth in his personality.
Favourite scene: April on her bed (newly decorated) reading on mitosis and having a talk with Luke. Very charming and heartwarming.
Lorelai and Christopher: No one can deny the chemistry that was between these two during the episode. At Lorelai's doorstep, at the "drive in"... you can feel the passion when they kiss. I like the idea of Lorelai with Chris. I always have. I also like the idea of Lorelai with Luke. No matter what happens, I think I'll be ok with it. I just really want Lorelai to decide on which one makes her happier. But there was definitely chemistry here.
Other comments:
- I didn't fully understand the scene with Rory and the art girls. Why did she meet them? Will we see them again? I think the "party" was just so she could show Logan that, she too, has a life seperate from him.
- I'm glad to see Anna again. She and April are true characters, in the GG fashion. I'm glad they came into the story.
- Sookie's role took a step back last season I find. She was the chef, she was pregnant. That was it. Now her character has grown and she's become this confidante for Lorelai. She's giving advice, voicing her opinion. I really like it.
- Emily in jail! My reaction was the same as Lorelai.
I give this episode a solid A-. The season is going well so far my friends.
