The Great Stink episode #7.05 | written by Elise |
Elise's Comment:
I like the episode. Not as much as the last two, but it was a good episode. The season is going well.
The reunion of Rory and Logan was very sweet. I couldn't help but draw comparisons with my own life. I liked seeing them this happy. I have to admit something: I didn't understand why Rory was disapointed at the restaurant. I had assumed that Logan's coworkers would be there (unlike Rory who didn't). The jealous Rory in this episode reminded me of a (sometimes jealous) MissCoffee aka Elise. But aren't we all at some point or another?
Luke and Lorelai haven't been in contact since episode 2, as mentionned on the Forum. This means like 2 months appart, doesn't it? Has Lorelai been going to the diner? She's probably been getting coffee at the inn.
The argument between Lorelai and Christopher was a typical miscommunication. They eventually communicated well and things were fine. I'm glad he invited Lorelai to Paris. Not because I want them to be together, but because it's a good thing for Lorelai. Christopher is being serious and loyal (so far) for once. I just hope he won't disapoint her (and us!). And it's better if he's in Paris with Gigi... that girl doesn't know her mom at all.
The pickle story was typical Stars Hollow. However, I couldn't help but be reminded of the easter egg incident (in season 3 or 4). Kirk had hidden easter eggs in the town square without drawing a map and some were still hidden and rotten. Lack of imagination?
FAVOURITE SCENE: Lorelai, Christopher and Rory, in the car, listenning to "Come a little bit closer". A perfect image. A family, for once. It was nice.
If last week was an A-, this week was a B.
